The Akwa Ibom State University – AKSU Post UTME / DE form for the 2020/2021 academic session is out.

Using this medium, we’ll love to inform the general public, especially all candidates seeking admission into the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), that the institution Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise application form for the 2020/2021 academic session are now on sale.

AKSU Post UTME/DE Quick Tips.

The school administration is inviting applications from all eligible UTME candidates and as well as Direct Entry (DE) applicants.

AKSU Post UTME Qualification.

  • The school admission board has disclosed that ONLY candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2020 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) their First Choice Institution are qualified to participate in the screening examination.
  • The school board also made it mandatory that each candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes in subjects related to their courses, including the English Language at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • All Direct Entry (D.E) candidates must be holders of OND/NCE/HND/First Degree/ A‘ Level in relevant discipline and subjects before they will be qualified as Direct Entry candidates.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The AKSU administration has made it clear that candidates/applicants who did NOT choose AKSU or change to AKSU as their First Choice University in the 2020/2021 UTME or Direct Entry are NOT qualified to partake in this exercise.


  • The AKSU admission board has made it mandatory that all applying candidates MUST upload their SSCE results online through the institution’s official portal (www.aksu.edu.ng/portal), starting from Monday, July 27th, 2020, to Friday, August 21st, 2020.
  • Likewise, candidates MUST make sure that their O’level results are appropriately uploaded in JAMB Portal.
  • All uploaded documents must be clear and readable. Candidates who submit any blurred or unclear documents will have their admission automatically forfeited.
  • A candidate who fails to upload his/her results and other relevant academic qualification (original) correctly on the institution’s portal, will NOT be considered for admission.


Take note that the AKSU screening exercise date will be announced through this website or the institution’s portal.


The school management has disclosed that all applying candidates MUST appear physically for the Post UTME or Direct Entry screening exercise with the following:

  • 2020 UTME Result slip showing the candidate’s photograph in color.
  • 2020 JAMB DE printout (Direct Entry applicants only).
  • AEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate/Result and Scratch Card(s) detail as applicable.
  • Diploma, NCE, or A-level result or certificate (Direct Entry applicants only).
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Certificate of origin.
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness from approved Government Hospital.
  • Three (3) copies of AKSU Photocard (Post UTME or Direct Entry) screening schedule slip which must be printed from the University portal when your Post UTME Registration is complete.

How to Apply for AKSU Post UTME Form.

All candidates who are interested in applying for the 2020 EKSU Post UTME screening, should note that the University portal will be opened for registration, starting from Monday, July 27th, 2020 to Friday, August 21st, 2020.

First, you need to visit http://portal.aksu.edu.ng to generate Pre-Payment Analysis Slip, using the step by step procedures outlined below:

  1. When the AKSU portal loads up, click on REGISTER NOW LINK in the Login Page.
  2. Carefully select PUTME/DIRECT ENTRY in the Registration-Type Panel and click on the PUTME link.
  3. Next, type in your JAMB registration number and click VERIFY.
  4. Check the right-hand side of the page showing your details, and select CLICK TO MAKE PAYMENT and print the generated pre-payment slip.
  5. You need to pay for the AKSU Post UTME / DE screening form. To do this, go to the nearest Bank with the pre-analysis slip and inform the Bank teller that you wish to make fee payment for Akwa Ibom State University Post-UTME screening using e-transact.
  6. Take note that the screening fee is N2,000 only.
  7. After a successful payment, repeat steps 1 to 3 above. The payment status on the right side of the page will automatically show PAID, once your payment is verified. Sometimes, it takes up to 5 hours.
  8. Click the “>” symbol at the extreme right-hand side of the page to proceed with the registration process.
  9. Ensure to complete the registration form with your correct details, and please, be sure to clearly scan and upload the following documents (with sizes not more than 100KB).
  • 2020 UTME result printout.
  • 2020 JAMB DE printout (Direct Entry applicants only).
  • WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate/Result and Scratch Card(s) details as may be applicable.
  •  Degree, Diploma, NCE or A-level result certificate (Direct Entry applicants only)
  •  Certificate of origin.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness from approved Government Hospital.

Make sure that you print two (2) copies of AKSU Registration Slip from the portal. The two (2) copies of AKSU Registration Slip you printed will serve as AKSU PUTME/DE screening Registration Card.

  • This is very important. Any candidates who fail to register for the AKSU Post-UTME screening exercise would not be considered for admission.
  • Candidates who during their JAMB UTME or Direct Entry registration, did NOT choose AKSU or change to AKSU as their First Choice University, are NOT eligible to participate in this exercise.
  • When filling the AKSU registration form, it is mandatory that each applicant MUST use his/her own phone number and valid e-mail address in order to receive timely alerts, messages, and directives. Please, desist from using the number or email of a cyber café operator or any other third party.
  • Candidates who use false/fake documents when caught will have their admission terminated and handed over to the Nigerian police force.
  • Likewise, the institution’s admission board has disclosed that candidates with awaiting results will NOT be offered admission in AKSU. Kindly upload your O’level results in AKSU and JAMB portals within the stipulated time.
  • We recommend that you quickly register for the EKSU Screening Test, to avoid congestion close to the deadline.
