BUK Post UTME Registration, Cut off Marks, Fees 2020

The Bayero University, Kano – BUK Post UTME registration form for the 2020/2021 academic session is out. Here’s how to register for the institution’s Post UTME screening, including other important details you need to know.

  1. Registration Fee: N2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only)
  2. BUK Cut off Marks: 180 – 220.
  3. Registration Starting Date: 3rd August 2020.
  4. REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE: 2nd October 2020.

Using this platform, I’ll love to notify members of the general public, especially all candidates who sat for the 2020 JAMB UTME examination and selected Bayero University, Kano as their choice institution, that the BUK Post UTME screening application form for the 2020/2021 academic session is out.

It is very important to note here that the BUK Post UTME screening registration will commence on Monday, 3rd August 2020, and closes on the 2nd of October 2020.

Post UTME Screening Qualification.

The school management has disclosed that candidates who selected the University as their first choice in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and made the cut-off marks published below are automatically qualified and eligible to register and partake in the 2020/2021 BUK post UTME screening exercise.

BUK Post UTME Cut Off Marks.

The cut-off marks for the various Faculties /Programmes are as stated below:

220 and above.

This means that candidates who scored 220 and above in JAMB are qualified for admission in these faculty.

  • Clinical Sciences (MBBS).
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences.

200 and above.

  • Allied Health Sciences.
  • Dentistry.
  • Law.

190 and above.

  • Management Sciences.
  • Social Sciences.

180 and above.

  • Agriculture.
  • Arts and Islamic Studies.
  • Basic Medical Sciences.
  • Communication (Except Mass Communication).
  • Computer Science and Information Technology.
  • Earth and Environmental Sciences.
  • Education.
  • Engineering.
  • Life Sciences.
  • Physical Sciences.

BUK Post UTME Application Procedure.

STEP 1: You need to visit the institution’s official website, www.buk.edu.ng, and click on the POST-UTME Application Portal.

STEP 2: Next, you need to log in using your UTME Number and UTME Aggregate (total score), then upload your passport-sized photograph.

STEP 3: You are required to fill in the Applicant’s Particulars Form with your correct details.

STEP 4: All candidates registering for the 2020 Bayero University, Kano screening, must ensure to print out their personalized Payment Invoice and use the invoice to make the payment of N2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only) at any branch of Banks Listed on your Invoice nationwide.

STEP 5: After you have successfully paid for the screening (registration), return to the University’s website, www.buk.edu.ng, and log in again. Take note that your payment will be validated after which you can print your personalized Examination Card.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

♦ The school admission board has disclosed that NO candidate will be allowed to sit for the Post-UTME test without a valid Examination Card.

♦ Any candidate who failed to register for the screening within the above stipulated time automatically forfeit their chance of getting admitted into the Bayero University, Kano for the 2020/21 academic session.

♦ All applying blind, deaf, and foreign candidates are exempted from taking the aptitude test. However, they need to register online for the BUK Post UTME screening.

♦ The school admission board has disclosed that they will be publishing a comprehensive list of all candidates who have made the requirements on the University website, which is www.buk.edu.ng.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS.

  •  The institution management would love to notify all prospective candidates, that they must have sat for the UTME Examinations, and chose BUK as her/his first choice, and must have scored an aggregate of 180 or higher in the relevant subjects as advertised in the UME Brochure.
  • All prospective candidates are required to have a minimum of five (5) relevant passes at Credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) that is always conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or the National Examinations Council (NECO) in not more than two (2) sittings.
  • All prospective candidates must have a pass at credit level in English.

 POST UTME EXAMINATION DATE.

The screening exercise date of the Bayero University Kano (BUK), Post UTME examinations will be announced in the media as well as communicated to all registered applicants through the phone numbers and email addresses they provided during their JAMB registration.

Likewise, the BUK Venue, Time, and sitting Arrangement for the test will be shown on each and every applicants’ Examination Cards.

Note that the schedule (Venue and Time) of the BUK Aptitude Test will be communicated to you using the phone number and/or e-mail address (used in JAMB registration) you supplied in your profile update.

JAMB O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has indicated that it would not give admission to any shortlisted candidate who does not have an ‘O Level results.

To avoid issues with JAMB, we advise all candidates to visit any JAMB Office or accredited CBT center nearest to them to upload their O level results (WAEC, NECO, etc.).

Note that even candidates who do not satisfy the University screening conditions below are advised to provide the details for consideration by other institutions. (Please, take note that candidates who are caught supplying false information will have their admission forfeited).

Finally, take note that you are ONLY allowed to supply a maximum of two different O’ Level examination results.
